DAP: We'll support Nizar to lead Perak again

IPOH, Feb 11: DAP would give full support to ousted Perak Menteri Besar Nizar Jamaluddin (pic) to lead the state government again should Pakatan Rakyat recapture the state in the next general election, said DAP secretary general Lim Guan Eng at a DAP dinner event in Kampar.

Perak DAP secretary Nga Kor Ming who wrote about Lim's speech in his blog said Nizar, the Bukit Gantang member of parliament, was someone who had a "proven track record" as the MB.

“Nizar has the proven track record and is firmly anti-racist in his stand. Nizar is also a person with integrity thus making him the best candidate to be Menteri Besar of Perak,” Nga quoted Lim as saying.

Nizar led the PR state government until he was ousted following defection of DAP and PKR members, said to be engineered by then UMNO deputy president, Najib Razak.
